In 1985, JWM was incorporated as a private company exclusively serving the financial needs of the Jacobus family. The firm was created from family liquidity generated following the sale of a bank holding company. At that time, JWM offered financial services to a limited number of new individuals and families through a family office format. The strategic outcome of this change was to assure clients of continued professional care through many future generations.
