For 55 years, Silver Spring Neighborhood Center has been a stabalizing presence of Milwaukee's northwest side. Silver Spring Neighborhood Center is a nonprofit social service agency whose mission is to build a safer, stronger neighborhood and community. The Center was founded on the settlement house model in 1958 to serve the residents of northwest Milwaukee and the surrounding communities. Located in the heart of Westlawn, Wisconsin's largest public housing development, Silver Spring Neighborhood Center serves this community as well residents from many surrounding areas.
