Oberlin Filter Company began out of a garage in Waukesha in 1964. Our filtration systems range in price from $30,000 to $2.5 million. Our company is guided by the principle: make filters that really work. We have an excellent group of experienced engineers, salespeople, designers, welders, plumbers, electricians, service techs, and laboratory technicians. We work with our customers to determine the best system for their application, build it ourselves, help start it, and provide support throughout its lifetime. We are a family owned and operated business. With one main product, we look for stability by diversifying our markets. These filters separate liquids from solids for a wide range of applications in the food industry, coolant, chemical processing, metal finishing, waste treatment as well as other industries. We filter everything from potato chips to nuclear waste. We are looking for the best team players who are willing to work hard in an excellent environment and share in our success.

The last few years have been the most profitable years for the company. Some of the profits were put back into the business for research and development, better equipment, tools and saving for the new building that is in construction right now. But our employees shared our profit as well. Each full-time hourly employee was awarded an $8,000 bonus for each of the last two years. We also have a profit-sharing bonus that has been equally significant in recent years.

We are very proud of winning the Top 100 Workplaces in Wisconsin for six consecutive years in a row by the Milwaukee Journal based on employee input.  Our employees were awarded the "Volunteers of the Year 2011" from United Way of Waukesha County and another special award in 2015.
We are a family owned and operated business and pride ourselves on bringing that feeling of family into the workplace. We try to allow as much flexibility as a manufacturing company can that must meet the demands of a strong customer base. We treat employees with respect. Period. 66% of our employees have been with the company for more than 10 years. In the fifty years that the company has been in business, we have had a handful of layoffs. We do everything we can to keep the employees' jobs secure. Safety is very important to us and we work each day to keep it that way.
