The primary purpose of the QC Sample Coordinator is to maintain the receipt and organization of sample material brought to the QC laboratory from other departments. This organization will ensure that materials are stored and disposed of in the proper manner according to the appropriate SOPs and regulations.
In addition, the QC Sample Coordinator will maintain the standard material information which includes, but is not limited to, the requalification and the expiration information. The QC Sample Coordinator may also be tasked with performing the duties of the QC Utility Operator as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains the receipt and organization of sample material from QA, Production, and Formulations.
Assists in the receipt and handling of controlled substances.
Oversees the entry, organization, and disposal of the sample retention program.
Assists in the handling of material in support of the stability program.
Assists in the tracking of standard material, focusing on the requalification and expiration information.
Receives new laboratory stock; enters it into the database as needed; and stores in proper locations as applicable.
Assists with the organization, maintenance, and replacement of reagents and solvents.
Oversees the proper disposal of hazardous laboratory waste.
Ensures laboratory work areas and hoods used by the QC Sample Coordinator are neat and clean.
Assists in the duties of the QC Utility Operator as needed.
Assists in maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
Lifts, carries, pushes, and/or pulls objects weighing up to 55 lbs.
Follows all CPI cGMP practices, policies, and procedures.
Follows all CPI safety practices, policies, and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Associate's Degree or Technical Degree in chemistry or related field required. Bachelor's Degree in chemistry or related field preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Possesses good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, co-workers, and/or clients.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs. on a daily basis and up to 55 lbs. occasionally.
