Job Description

Job Description Summary: Complete all aspects of Plumbing Design work. Duties will include design, calculations, specifications, approvals and follow-up of Clinics, Retail Buildings and various other types of Commercial and Residential Buildings. This position reports directly to the Plumbing Design Manager and supports the Project Managers and Field Personnel.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 
  • Generate Submittals
  • Provide Calculations:
  • Equipment sizes (Softeners, Water Heaters, Booster Pumps, etc…)
  • Sanitary Pipe Sizing (DFU loads)
  • Water Pipe Sizing (WSFU loads)
  • Storm Pipe Sizing (GPM loads)
  • Generate Plumbing Plans for State Plan Review
  • Generate As-Built Drawings
  • Work directly with General Contractors, Architects and Structural Engineers to produce finished
  • drawings
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and field personnel
  • Handle all changes and problems related to Plumbing Design
  Job Knowledge and Skills:  
 
  • Proficient knowledge of Wisconsin Administrative Plumbing Code
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD required
  • Proficiency with 3DAutoCAD and Revit preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to direct and support team in the field via the phone or electronically
  • Ability to prioritize and complete necessary tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must work well as an individual and/or in a team environment
  Beneficial Skills and Experience:  
 
  • State of Wisconsin Plumbing Code knowledge
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to be a self-motivator and leader
