Responsibilities include producing accurate and effective construction plans for the purpose of generating material deliveries and guiding field installation of fire sprinkler systems for commercial facilities. The results-driven candidate must be able to coordinate numerous fire protection projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a high degree of responsibility and accountability. Time management skills, dedication to accuracy and relentless follow-through are critical for success.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Plan and lay out fire sprinkler systems using architectural drawings to develop fire sprinkler drawings and calculations including but not limited to:
Submittals
O&M
As builds
Meet with project technicians and perform site visits as necessary.
Represent the company professionally; interact dynamically with customers and architects.
Manage all changes to system design and offer thought-provoking resolutions to design challenges.
Job Knowledge and Skills
Estimating Experience and NICET Certification desired but not required.
A Bachelor’s or Associate degree plus 2 years of experience preferred or combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of NFPA, IBC, and Wisconsin Life Safety Comm codes.
Proficiency in HydraCAD and AutoCAD desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to direct and support team in the field in person or remotely.
Must work well as an individual and/or in a team environment.
Self-motivated and leadership qualities are a plus.
