Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, detailed individual with experience reading plumbing plans and specifications to support our project management team in winning the next great project. Design build experience is preferred.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Review bid documents and plans including but not limited to civil, architectural, structural, plumbing and HVAC. Evaluate feasibility for pursuit of business.
  • Manage multiple bids from start to finish, efficiently, accurately and on-time. Submit bid bond information through appropriate channels as required.
  • Prepare budget for review; update material cost / multipliers as needed. Responsible for managing construction costs.
  • Review job boards daily to identify new project opportunities and changes to current projects. Aide in upkeep of bid board.
  • Attend pre-bid tours and meetings. Follow up with GC/Engineer on budgeting questions and pricing.
  • Review specification for jobs(s) bidding including but not limited to invitation to bid, instructions to bidders, general conditions, division 15 or 22. Assemble all bid forms-proposals for bid day.
  • Perform detail takeoffs of project per system and follow proper documentation procedures.
  • Procure all necessary quotes and prepare proposal documentation for submission.
  • Conduct follow up activities after bid opening to answer questions and competitive analysis.
  • Work with PM in preparation for the handoff meeting following project award. Help facilitate and support project start up initiatives.
  • Review prospects for estimating trends and historical documentation including lessons learned.
 
Job Knowledge and Skills:
 
  • Extensive bid process knowledge including scope of work, bid acquisitions, contract preparations and job costing.
  • Experience with plumbing and/or mechanical systems; design build experience desired.
  • Experience with plan reading, estimating and submittals
  • Hands-on experience using various construction and estimating software
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
