Job Description

Job Description Summary: Utilize plumbing experience to assist with design build, trouble shooting, and creation of plumbing estimates. Retain and grow the customer database. Produce timely and accurate estimates to increase the profitability of the department. Direct and manage projects by following “The Monona Way.”
 
Essential Job Responsibilities:

 
 
  • Current or Previous Journeyman Plumber (design build, commerical, and residential plumbing service experience preferred)
  • Direct and manage projects from beginning to end
  • Communicate with prospective and current customers to develop a plan to meet their needs
  • Procure material, equipment, and labor for project
  • Prepare accurate and timely take-off for projects
  • Interact with vendors/wholesale representatives to compile accurate estimate of costs
  • Promote ideals of M.P.F.P. stated in our Company vision statement to foster and retain current and future customers
  • Promote team cohesiveness and accountability. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members
  • Expedite material to Plumber and/or project site
  • Manage material orders, keep track of back orders, process returns
  • Create data base for the logistical completion of project
  • Coordinate with municipalities, utilities, and manufacturers to streamline project
  • Conduct Jobsite visits
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Collect customer information and billing address
  • Meet with prospective customers, identify and trouble shoot problems
  • Design and implement cost effective solutions
  • Create proposals for project and implement follow through to future customers
  • Assist in the scheduling and invoice review process for projects
  • Prepare scopes of work where applicable and note special conditions.
  • Execute follow up with customers regarding potential, in progress, and completed projects
  • Maintain accurate and organized files on all projects estimated
  • Attend pre-bids, make site visits and conduct take off
  • Other duties as assigned

Beneficial Skills and Experience:
 
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
