Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing forms and records documenting completed work.
Following training, which may last up to 3-4 months, the Maintenance Technician is expected to be capable of independently performing preventative maintenance on multiple pieces of equipment at a reasonable rate while following established policies, procedures, and practices.
2nd Shift Hours - 3:00PM - 11:15PM, Monday through Friday

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Boiler preventative maintenance
HVAC preventative maintenance
Purified water preventative maintenance
Performs calibrations on production equipment.
Understands basic welding practices.
Understands basic plumbing practices.
Understands basic electrical diagrams.
Performs simple mathematical calculations.
Follows all CPI cGMP practices, policies, and procedures.
Follows all CPI safety practices, policies, and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
A basic understanding of the purpose and contents within the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs).
Knowledge of various types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) available and how/when to use it.
Ability to read, write (legibly), and speak the English language at a level necessary for efficient performance.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, co-workers, and/or clients.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 55 lbs. and move objects weighing up to 150 lbs.
