Employee Health & Safety Site Leader - BRP Marine Group

Position Summary 

BRP Marine is looking for a Health and Safety Site Leader. In this key role, you will lead the health and safety functions and activities for BRP’s Marine Group at our newly renovated Sturtevant, WI facility.  You will serve as the primary liaison of BRP Marine’s Employee Health & Safety strategies, and operational & tactical plans in collaboration with BRP’s Corporate EHSS function, BRP Marine’s Management team, and the BRP Marine team.  If you are up for the challenge, BRP will support you as you strive to imbed and realize a “goal zero” mindset and behavior-based safety culture at all organizational levels.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements plans, programs, and policies for monitoring and preventing EHSS incidents through a behavior-based safety framework;
  • Surveys, compiles, and analyzes data relating to environmental, occupational, and environmental health issues to provide recommendations to realize year over year performance improvement in all EHSS domains;
  • Monitors the company's environmental and health standards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations; 
  • Provides technical and industry guidance to Sr. Management regarding EHSS compliance requirements and industry-leading best practices;
  • Structures, implements, and monitors programs and systems to track and evaluate safety-related incidents;  
  • Ensures timely, complete, and accurate submission of all environmental and safety reports;
  • Coordinates and facilitates administration of all matters related to Workers' Compensation claims;
  • Requests, justifies, and manages capital expense projects related to EHSS; 
  • Actively and visibly champions EHSS efforts through role-modeling, active content delivery (oral and written), and involvement with all organizational levels.
  • Assesses achievement and impact through measurable performance indicators.

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an applied EHSS manufacturing environment or transferrable experience in a related industry.
