Work Schedule:

80% FTE, days and evenings, The provider would work mainly 5:30p-12:00a shifts, with potential day time shift on the weekends. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician - Crisis Consult to:

  • Provide diagnostic assessment and treatment to patients and their families presenting to the emergency department and on the inpatient units with mental health crisis/concerns.
  • Work closely with the Emergency Department team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Work closely with the Psychiatry Consult-Liaison and on-call Psychiatry teams on safety and admission-related decisions.

Education:

Minimum - Master's degree in Social Work

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of experience providing evidence-based treatments for a variety of mental health and behavioral diagnoses for children, adolescents and adults.

Preferred - One (1) year of crisis management skills in hospital, clinic, or emergency department, crisis center counseling, Psychiatric Emergency Services or Crisis Stabilization Unit preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • CPR/BLS
