Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, daytime position. Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This is a hybrid position WI & IL residents with some remote work and some in person work at the Administrative Office Building located in Middleton.

We are seeking a BIM Coordinator to:

  • Update UW Health Revit building models; new construction and renovation.
  • Assist contract architects/engineers with plans and data for new planning and construction projects.
  • Help conduct period space validation of UW Health facilities.
  • Maintain UW Health facilities archives of all construction projects for maintenance, repairs, and future renovation projects.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Experience as a Revit technician at an architect/engineering firm is preferred.
  • General understanding of construction documents and how they are organized.
  • Basic experience with databases preferred but not required
  • Basic ability to interpret architectural and MEP construction drawings.
  • Experience in observing and taking measurements in the field.
  • Familiarity with current building codes, with emphasis on life safety. Example: International Building Codes (IBC), ADA (ANSI A117.1).
  • Any experience with healthcare design and FGI standards.
  • Formal training in Microsoft Excel, and a functional understanding how formulas, functions and tables work.

Education:

Minimum - Associate Degree in Architectural or Engineering Technology, or Computer Science.

Preferred - Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture or Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, or related fields of study.

Work Experience:

Preferred - Five (5) years building inspection, architecture/engineering, facilities planning or related experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred - Construction Document Technologist (CDT), NFPA Certified Life Safety Specialist (CLSS-HC) for Health Care Facilities
