Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Finance and Accounting position is responsible for working closely with WP Beverage's management team, the accounting and administrative support staff to develop and improve reporting systems, policies and procedures which meet the needs of both internal and external customers. Directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of sales, marketing, and operations. Responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, the maintenance of internal controls to ensure compliance, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, internal auditing, and payroll.

Primary Responsibilities

* Business partner to sales, operations, and marketing groups to aid in maximizing business performance through continuous improvement and analysis.

* Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets, Inventory and Accrual Accounting, and Payroll.

* Management of the month-end and year-end close processes and preparation and analysis of financial statements.

* Monitors financial performance through on-going review of expenses and through the development, analysis and implementation of budgets and forecasts.

* Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

* Coordinate the preparation and execution of the annual audit.

* Support the acquisition of franchises through analysis, due diligence, and integration.

* Maintain financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, monitoring, and appraising job results.

* Manages cashflow, debt facilities, and other banking relationships to support operational needs.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum seven (7) years progressively responsible professional experience in accounting, including experience with general ledger analysis/reconciliation and financial statement preparation and presentation; and exposure to automated accounting systems including general ledger and accounts payable.

2. Four-year college degree in business with an emphasis in accounting; CPA designation preferred. Master's in business administration or accountancy preferred.

3. Public accounting experience with audit emphasis a plus.

4. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills needed. Must also have the ability to share these skills as a member of the management team.

5. Strong ability to partner with management and the accounting support staff in a helpful, supportive manner desired with a focus on attaining Company goals. Customer-focused person who can help develop and support management from a financial perspective. Experience using continuous improvement principles in an accounting or administrative department preferred.
