Work Schedule:

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. Shifts will be scheduled Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department and when on call one week per month.

We are seeking a Director of Emergency Services to:

  • Direct the day-to-day operations, budgeting, financial management, and human resource management of the Emergency Department across the enterprise.
  • Manage the complex interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships to assure collaboration and effective/efficient operations within the Emergency Department.
  • Engage staff and other stakeholders in continuous improvement of systems and processes; manage resources for staff participation in improvement work activities.

Education:

Minimum - Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Preferred - Master's degree in a relevant subject area such as Nursing, Business, Management, or Healthcare Administration

Work Experience:

Minimum - Five (5) years of relevant leadership experience in the management of emergency medicine, trauma, urgent care, or other relevant acute care hospital or critical care experience

Preferred - Experience in a large academic or complex health program that included ED or critical care services

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registered Nurse

Preferred - Wisconsin RN license
