Job Description

100 FTE%, day shift, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM or may work 4 x 10s. You will work at University Hospital and University Rowe in Madison, WI. After initial onboarding hybrid or fully remote. Several weeks onboarding.

We are seeking a Charge Integrity Analyst to:

  • Review living donor charges, obtain service agreements with outside lab and diagnostic centers, and pay charges as required under CMS regulations.
  • Work with living donors to make their financial journey seamless.
  • Work with outside healthcare institutions to rectify and reconcile invoices on behalf of living donor candidates.
  • Assist clinical leadership and staff with charge reconciliation, identifying denial and missed charge trends, charge reporting, and charge troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with a vast array of clinical, financial, and IT leadership and staff to ensure that coding, charging, charge reporting, and reconciliation processes function smoothly.

Education:

Minimum - Associate degree in Health Care, Business, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in charge capture, coding or a hospital business office may be considered in lieu of the Associate degree in addition to the experience below.

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Business, or a related field

Work Experience:

Minimum - Three (3) years of experience in a health care business, coding, or clinical setting

Preferred -

* Five (5) years of coding or charge capture experience in a hospital business office for a large, complex health care environment including experience in an academic medical center.

* Experience and/or Certification with Medical Coding

Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred -

* Certification with Epic Revenue Cycle Modules

* Certification as a Medical Coder
