Job Overview:

The Pharmacist is responsible to review, profile, compound and dispense medications to a patient on the receipt of a physician s order. The pharmacist is responsible for the patient population from newborns to geriatrics. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS in Pharmacy

  • NJ Pharmacy License

Preferred:

  • Pharm degree and residency training preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BA/BS in Pharmacy

  • NJ Pharmacy License

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Days Shift
  • Per Diem Schedule
  • Hours vary based on the needs of the department

Essential Functions:

  • The Registered Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical care to all patient age groups, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients

  • The position is responsible for the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of both the prescribing and effectiveness of all medications and IV admixtures

  • The registered Pharmacist also provides, when needed, clinical services such as patient counseling, education, consults, and Medication Therapy Management

  • The position is also responsible for identifying and reporting hazardous environments or safety issues and medical errors to appropriate personnel

  • The position is also responsible for any other assigned tasks, as appropriate
