Job Description

MISSION

Responsible for the execution of operational activities such as purchasing, inventory management, forecasting, and production planning. This includes organizing and optimizing the material flow for both finished goods as well as components within manufactured builds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverage data analytics, process documentation, performance measurements and other process improvement tools to set and achieve departmental goals.
  • Streamline communication both upstream (suppliers) and downstream (customers).
  • Assists in the creation and management of documentation for new and existing supply chain procedures and processes.
  • Integrates, and executes the supply chain strategic plan in support of the business and functional strategies.
  • Develops and maintains supplier managed inventory programs.
  • Participates in inventory control activities and inventory cycle counts.
  • Maintains supply chain performance targets and evaluates actual performance in support of business and functional strategies.
  • Assist with development of protocols for collecting, monitoring, analyzing and reporting data.
  • Work on cross-functional teams to effectively engage key stakeholders to best advance supply chain initiatives that support the company's strategic objectives.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.

  • Analyzes, and develops improvement plans for finished good product distribution while maintaining excellent service levels on a global scale.
  • Handles multiple high-profile projects simultaneously and ability to take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills, including ability to question and identify data quality in reports, and interpreting data effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Business-related field such as Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Purchasing, Materials Management, Logistics or Production Management

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1-3 years supply chain experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Experience with electronics, injection molded plastics, metals, packaging and metal fabrication
  • Experience with ERP computer systems running MRP/APS
  • Experience using analytical tools and techniques to solve complex business problems.

SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE

  • Working knowledge of computer operation, Windows applications, particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal

PHYSICAL ABILITY

  • Good or corrected vision
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

OTHER

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to acquire new skills and to accommodate change in the workplace
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis skills, as well as ability to present results in a clear manner.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE DESIRE

  • Certification as CPIM, CPSM, or CFPIM with APICS
  • Certification as an A.P.P. (Accredited Purchasing Practitioner) with ISM
  • Experience in an ISO9001 registered workplace
