What You Will Do:
  • Follow procedures to disassemble pumps and parts, blast & clean parts, and re-assemble of pumps and parts.
  • Hand dress (grind) parts for proper appearance or functional dimensions.
  • Check parts for run-out.  Make gaskets as needed.
  • Ensure part sizes and dimensions are accurate.
  • Chase threads and tap holes when needed.
  • Operate lift equipment and cranes to safely move parts and pumps.
  • Prepare pumps for shipment, following procedures.
  • Paint pumps and components.
  • May operate balance machine to balance pump components according to procedures and specifications.
  • May sandblast and clean pumps and components.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, pictures, etc.
  • Maybe asked to work overtime on short notice. 
What We Are Looking For:
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED and one to three years of related experience preferred; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to prepare routine reports and paperwork.  Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees of the organization.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of inventory software and manufacturing software.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Must obtain lift equipment certification & OSHA training after hire.  May require welding certification.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Requires the ability to operate a variety of small hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, cranes and lift equipment, and tool room machines.  May require the ability to operate welding equipment.
  • Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Vision Demands: Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
