Job Description

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, the Mobile Health Unit and School Based Clinics Manager is responsible for the development and management of daily operational and administrative functions of the mobile health and school-based clinics, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead daily operation and coordination of mobile and school-based patient care services
  • Develop and implement programmatic expansion of school based and mobile health services
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, safety and efficiency
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families and additional care staff
  • Develop collaborative relationships with leadership members from the medical, behavioral health, operational, marketing, grants and fund development departments
  • Assure compliance with applicable ambulatory service standards and clinic
  • Assist in the development, evaluation and modification of applicable policies and procedures, quality improvement efforts and programming
  • Direct department workforce staffing and scheduling
  • Assist with recruitment and retention of staff members who exemplify the mission of OCHC.
  • Oversee completion and monitoring of staff competencies
  • Provide annual performance reviews and ongoing feedback to staff relative to performance including constructive feedback and support to meet professional goals
  • Assist with development and implementation of operating budgets.
  • Monitor/manage timely chart closure.
  • Oversee the acquisition, management and evaluation of medical equipment and supplies
  • Support and provide feedback relevant to grant related activities as appropriate
  • Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
  • Complete special projects as assigned
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Handle all situations with tact, persuasiveness and diplomacy.
  • Work in a self-directed manner, managing multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
  • Possess a high level of confidentiality.
  • Attend and actively participate in scheduled internal meetings.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, nursing administration or other health related field. Registered Nurse or other clinical professional experience is preferred. A minimum of five years of health care operations supervisory/management experience is desired with minimum of two years of experience required. Project management experience preferred.
