Job Description

Senior Associate, External Audit Generalist (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, New York, NY. Provide clients with business advice for technical accounting and financial reporting standards, proactively identifying and articulating emerging technical issues. Apply auditing standards and firm audit methodology, reinforce compliance requirements, and evaluate and respond to the results of audit procedures. Apply project management skills to maximize the effectiveness of the audit, managing and prioritizing issues based on materiality and risk. Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for clients. Utilize the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing to enhance corporate governance and the reliability of client information.

 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $137,114 /yr.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.

 

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus 1 year of related work experience.

 

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:
 

  • Performing quarterly review for public engagements including reviewing the significant accounts, analytics and typing out financial statements;
  • Reviewing the supporting documents provided by the client for key controls and document the observation and inspection in audit database;
  • Working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States (U.S. GAAP), United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards; and
  • Applying and utilizing knowledge of accounting and audit standards and regulations such as SEC, U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS IFRS, the Investment Company Act of 1940, and the AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide.
     

80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.

 

Travel requirement(s): Domestic and/or international travel required 60% of the time.
