As an IS (Information Systems) Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end to end delivery of multiple cross functional and cross cultural programs or projects, ensuring coordination, resource management, stakeholder or sponsor communications, reporting and financial management ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with ABB Information Systems Enterprise Architecture and the ABB Information Systems Guidelines and Directives. This role supports ABB's Electrification Installation Products Division in Cary, NC.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage and lead (virtual) team of highly effective IS professionals in a cross cultural environment
  • Ensure the delivery of activities utilizing internal IS delivery units as well as external 3rd party suppliers
  • Close adherence delivering high quality IS solutions that are compliant with all applicable ABB Regulations and ABB Group Guidelines and policies
  • Define and manage organization and services governance, aligning responsibilities and accountabilities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Execute, for assigned tasks, all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACI (Responsible Accountable Consulted and Informed) specification
  • Define and manage the metrics needed to deliver strategic initiatives
  • As part of project management, manage executive stakeholders across multiple divisions and act as advisor and guide to the IS organization, business functions and delivering partners
  • Assure stakeholders satisfaction through a strong governance and proactive effective communication
  • Manage dependencies and resolve conflicts to other ABB departments, functional areas, and cross organization dependencies
  • Deliver projects with high quality in alignment with budget and timeline expectations
  • Drive customer service to ensure satisfaction with Information Systems services, closing any gaps, and influencing stakeholder perceptions of Information Systems services
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology or related field with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience leading IS projects (Enterprise Resource Planning, Infrastructure, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Software Deployment)
  • Project Management or Change Management certifications (example given Prosci, ITIL, PMP. Prince2, Agile) would be advantageous
  • Fluent in English at executive presentation level
  • Availability to travel
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $92,500 and $171,500 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus. myBenefitsABB.com
