Placement Specialist

Job Summary:

The Placement Specialist receives family-related information and conducts searches to locate potential relative placements for children requiring out-of-home placements. The Placement Specialist also ensures timely and well-coordinated placements for children requiring higher levels of care.


Essential Functions of the Placement Specialist:

  • Conduct family member/non-relative background searches utilizing identified web-based search sites
  • Accurately update and maintain all relevant databases daily
  • Work collaboratively with Initial Assessment, CPA's and Placement Resources.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of case activities in accordance with agency and contractor policies and procedures.
  • Ability to complete phone intakes.

OFFICE LOCATION: Office is based in West Allis, WI. Must be able to work on-site in West Allis, WI. The position will be 50% remote work once fully trained.


SCHEDULE: Hours are Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm-11:00 pm.

This position is also assigned to a rotating after-hours on-call schedule. This schedule includes after-hours coverage for a full week (Sunday through Saturday), during the weekday hours of 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, and on weekends 24/7. This rotation occurs approximately once every six weeks.

SALARY: $19.27 an hour

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field is preferred
  • One year of experience in Child Welfare is preferred.
