Position Summary:

Maintaining quality standards for products and processes and suggest modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products. Assists with customer satisfaction including ongoing customer communications including timely responses and follow-up to customer concerns, internal defects, scrap performance, and financial performance.

Position Requirements:

  1. Participate in the development and achievement of KPI's for the department relative to key Quality Operating System metrics; including gross margins, scrap, labor efficiency, safety, equipment utilization (OEE), on-time delivery, training, inventories, overtime costs, customer satisfaction, and expense spending.
  2. Support activities relative to customer complaints, including customer interface, customer portals and scorecards, immediate response actions, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions and follow-up.
  3. Supports the identification, prevention, and analysis of defects, both internal and external. Tracks internal and external defects and reports this information for the purpose of problem- solving analysis, error proofing and continuous improvement.
  4. Review and support PPAP submissions to customers. Assist production with PPAP builds to ensure all customer requirements are met.
  5. Support APQP activities for new product launches and product/process changes, including the proper implementation of customer specific requirements.
  6. Conduct internal Quality Audits and external Supplier Audits, reporting findings and following up/assisting on corrective actions.
  7. Key team member in the development and maintenance of Control Plan, PFLOW and PFMEA.
  8. Accountable for gage capability, calibration, and statistical methods.
  9. Involved in continuous improvement initiatives including scrap and labor reductions and elimination of redundant inspections, including customer follow-up where necessary.
  10. Support resolution of vendor related issues, including issue communication and follow-up on vendor corrective actions.
  11. Train/educate the workforce on Quality principles through various methods.
  12. Ensure ongoing compliance to all customer requirements as well as Quality System requirements.
  13. Support the completion of audits (Layered, Process and Quality Management System) report findings and ensure follow up to continuous improvements/corrective actions.
  14. Coordinate activity of quality objectives: collecting, summarizing, and reporting data.
  15. Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.
  16. Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, LLC. which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  17. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, required.
  2. ASAQ Certification, preferred.
  3. Proven track record of accomplishments in the areas of Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, Corrective Action, successful PPAP submissions and product launches. Required.
  4. Proven success as a facilitator in working with teams on root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions, required.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, required.
  6. Two (2) years of experience to be considered.
