Community Outreach to Veterans

| These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with Veterans receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCasts™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience. |
Dane County Job Center Our mission is to assist veterans and their families with obtaining local, state and federal benefits. We help them discover the benefits to which they are entitled and assist them with the application process. The Dane County Veterans Service Office is committed to advocate for veterans, provide quality services and programs for them and their families. |

Desert Veterans of Wisconsin The Desert Veterans of Wisconsin is a Veteran based Non Profit organization in Northeast Wisconsin focused on improving the lives of all area Veterans through financial support, scholarships, and peer to peer interaction at our monthly meetings.

Disabled American Veterans - Madison 55 Since its founding more than 80 years ago, the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) has been dedicated to a single purpose: building better lives for America's disabled veterans and their families. Fidelity to that mission has required DAV to respond creatively and flexibly to changing and sometimes unpredictable challenges faced by its constituency. Whether disabled veterans have needed a voice on Capitol Hill, a nationwide service program, a transportation network or unique rehabilitation opportunities, DAV has focused its attention and resources to meet those needs.

Disabled American Veterans - Madison Chapter With more than 1.2 million members, Disabled American Veterans is an organization of disabled veterans who are focused on building better lives for disabled veterans and their families.
The National Voluntary Service Program operates an extensive network of programs through which veterans and concerned citizens provide services for their disabled veterans. |

ESGR - Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve - Madison ESGR facilitates and promotes a cooperative culture of employer support for National Guard and Reserve service by developing and advocating mutually beneficial initiatives; recognizing outstanding employer support; increasing awareness of applicable laws and policies; resolving potential conflicts between employers and their service members; and acting as the employers’ principal advocate within DoD. Paramount to ESGR’s mission is to facilitate employment and/or educational opportunities for National Guard and Reserve Service members. |

Iraq Veterans Against The War The mission of IVAW is to mobilize the military community to withdraw its support for the war and occupation in Iraq. To achieve its mission, IVAW emphasizes three distinct goals:

Iraq Veterans Against the War has also passed resolutions opposing the war in Afghanistan, in support of non-violence, and opposing the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.

Jefferson County Veteran Services Since its establishment in 1945, the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) has remained focused on aiding and assisting "Hoosier" veterans, and qualified family members or survivors, who are eligible for benefits or advantages provided by Indiana and the U.S. government. |

Madison Vet Center Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling and outreach services to all veterans who served in any combat zone. Services are also available for their family members for military related issues. Veterans have earned these benefits through their service and all are provided at no cost to the veteran or family. The Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Center program operates a system of 232 community based counseling centers. The Vet Centers are staffed by small multi-disciplinary teams of dedicated providers, many of which are combat veterans themselves. |

Madison Veterans Industries - William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital Veterans Industries vocational rehabilitation program is designed to assist veterans to re-enter the workforce, while providing employers with qualified and motivated workers. Through negotiated contracts with industry, business, organizations, government and educational institutions in the Madison area, Veterans Industries provides transitional work opportunities to veterans, while providing a solution for employment and production needs. |

Marine For Life - Wisconsin Marine For Life’s ultimate purpose is to maintain a mutually beneficial, lifelong relationship between the Marine Corps and Marines who leave the Corps. We help ensure that all honorably discharged Marines can remain a part of the Marine Corps family and benefit from our Marine-friendly network of support. |

Milwaukee Veterans Stand Down Today’s version of a “Stand Down” is designed and intended to bring a wide array of pre-existing specialized resources together at one location and to provide a comprehensive therapeutic program to homeless and at-risk veterans that integrates employment, housing, medical, legal and a broad range of social services.

National Association for Black Veterans - Milwaukee NABVETS will provide personal advocacy on behalf of veterans seeking claims against the United States Department of Veterans Affairs; advocacy for youth in all matters required for successful passage into adulthood; advocacy on behalf of families; with community involvement, provide advocacy in creating positive lifestyles for veterans; and to generate and preserve the historical record. |

Operation Homefront of Wisconsin Operation Homefront (OH) provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. Through generous, widespread public support and a collaborative team of exceptional staff and volunteers, we aspire to become the provider of choice for emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. Where there is a need we do not provide, we will partner with others for the benefit of our military families.

Porchlight Inc. Porchlight strives to decrease the Dane County homeless population by providing shelter, housing, supportive services, and a sense of community in ways that empower residents and program participants to positively shape their lives.

Student Veterans of America, UW - River Falls Student Veterans of America (SVA) is a coalition of student veterans groups from college campuses across the United States. Welcome to the Veterans Club of UWRF. Our primary purposes are to support and honor the United States military services, perpetuate the honor and memory of its dead and provide a social outlet for the members and their companions. The club will also provide an avenue to disperse information to it’s members and serve as an advocacy for Veterans on campus.

United Proud Patriot's Veterans Organization - Freedom House The United Proud Patriots veterans organization is proposing a Freedom Park National Education Facility, where we can promote patriotism, education, and recreation with our programs. Our goal is not to glorify war but rather remember the price of freedom. The Freedom Park National Education Facility will allow us to provide educational materials on patriotism to our youth, and to provide a fitting memorial to those who sacrificed their lives for our country.
