Community Outreach to Minorities

The primary mission of AHA is to teach the rich spiritual heritage of Hindu philosophy to devotees of all ages. This Association intends to provide the leadership and resources for the Hindu community, especially among the young generations.

Casa Central was founded in 1954 by a multi-denominational group of churches to provide social services to the Hispanic population. Since then, Casa Central has evolved from an organization with three employees and a $26,000 budget to an acclaimed model agency with over 500 staff members and an $11 million budget. Casa Central is now the largest Hispanic social service agency in Chicago and arguably in country, providing programs for all ages.

Casa Hispana is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a bilingual center for information, referral,support, advocacy. Education and celebration to advance the economic, social and cultural position of the Hispanic/Latino community in the Fox Valley and surrounding communities

Centro Hispano of Dane County exists to empower Hispanics and Latinos to be full and active participants in the community and to promote and preserve knowledge of and pride in Hispanic and Latino culture and heritage.

Established in 1916, the mission of the Chicago Urban League is to eliminate racial discrimination and segregation and to work for the achievement of equal opportunity and parity for African Americans, other minorities and the poor in every phase of American life. Today the League’s work is focused in three primary areas: education, economic development and community empowerment.

The Comité Festival Mexicano-Wisconsin Inc. is a non-profit organization, legally constituted in Wisconsin and in the IRS, which legal address and operations is the city of Madison, Wisconsin. Its main goal is to organize the Annual Festival Independencia de México in Wisconsin. Another of the main goals of the Committee is to support the community through scholarships for Hispanic students and other projects.

Our mission is to assist in integrating Hispanic-American individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and community integration by utilizing available resources, and becoming positive citizens in the mainstream community.

Our mission of the Hmong Community Center, Inc. is to serve, inform and educate the Southeast Asian community of the changes that will affect: cultural heritage, education, training, direct services, advocacy and strengthen the ability to advocate for community.

HMAAS’ primary mission is to assist the Southeastern Asian refugees in their resettlement process in Sheboygan County and to promote opportunities that will enable refugee families to become self-sufficient.

Lao Family is a Mutual Assistance Association (M.A.A.) founded to help Southeast Asian refugees as they come to the United States.

Our mission is to empower the woman to better promote the welfare and enhance the well being of Wisconsin’s Latino/Hispanic community by overcoming language barriers and other limitations unique to our people, with special attention to critical development areas such as: education; translation and interpretation; health, welfare, legal and housing referrals, transportation, and employability skills.

The Mission of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Queer (LGBTQ) Campus Center is to strengthen and sustain an inclusive campus community for LGBTQ and allied students by eliminating heterosexism, homophobia, and gender identity oppression. Our goal is to provide the services and resources are necessary to meet the social, emotional, academic, and cultural needs of LGBTQ students.

MANA is a national community of Latinas actively working to create a better quality of life for Hispanics. MANA empowers Latinas through leadership development, community service and advocacy.

CSO College Center is an initiative of Center for Student Opportunity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote college access and opportunity among first-generation and historically underserved student populations.

Mission Statement: To strengthen and protect our people, reclaim our land and enhance the environment by exercising our sovereignty. The Human Resources Department provides services to the Oneida Tribal organization, Oneida Community, and Oneida people in the areas of staffing, employee benefits, development and training, and employee relations. The Oneida Tribe prides itself in offering a wide range of positions, competitive salaries and benefit package.

WAAL is an association of African American Lawyers dedicated to ensuring diversity in Wisconsin's legal community. The purpose of WAAL is to ensure the diversification of the legal community. To this end, WAAL sponsors an annual Mock Trial Competition for urban high school students, co-sponsors judicial forums with other bar associations, and provides scholarships to African-American law students attending Marquette University Law School and the University of Wisconsin Law School.
