Job Description

We're looking for a second shift Wash Crew/Detail Manager to join our team here at Badger Coaches.

The Wash Crew/Detail Manager is an important support person for the Company's coach line operations! The Wash Crew/Detailers are responsible for making an vehicle look neat and clean both inside and out. Using a variety of cleaning equipment and products, these professionals have an eye for cleanliness and inspection. As a Wash Crew/Detail Manager, you play a critical role making sure every vehicle is clean and in top condition. 
 
Operating Hours/Shift: 
This is a full-time 

  • 4:00 PM -  2:00 AM (40-45 hours), Tuesday-Saturday

Responsibilities Include:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; must be legally and technically able to safely operate Company's vehicles (Buses). 
  • Keep track of cleaning schedule on vans and school buses so all vehicles are getting washed on a regular interval.
  • Work with dispatcher on washing needs, especially for the day shift.
  • Make sure vehicles are lined up and there is someone who can move them from one location to another.
  • Determine which cleaning chemicals and products are working the best, work with vendors on products and efficient use of products.
  • Ensure we're getting competitive pricing from vendors.
  • Method, training and quality control of the bus cleaning process.
  • Perform regular training for handling and disposal of chemicals and keep documentation of the specific training. 
  • Perform regular safety training for winter and hot weather safety practices.
  • Training and monitoring of the fueling process .
  • Coordinate training and monitor wash crew staff operating the vehicles.
  • Liaison with shop for bus issues.
  • Coordinate with appropriate parties for broken garage doors, plugged drains and other facility issues.
  • Assist, deal and help resolve with HR issues.
  • Manage crew work schedule.
  • Enforce policy, attendance and discipline. 
  • Monitor hours and perform reviews.

Qualification Requirements:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; must be legally and technically able to safely operate Company and customer-owned vehicles.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and managerial skills
  • Proven employee coaching and development skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • A valid Driver's License and the ability to train and test (company paid) for a CDL 
  • A Good Driving Record
  • Required Pre-Employment Drug Screen 
  • Required Full Criminal Background Check 
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate (P/S) endorsements is preferred, but we will pay the right candidate to train and test!
  • Bilingual would be very helpful
