Job purpose
The Hiring Manager position is accountable for identifying and providing the human resources necessary to fill the operational positions required to meet the business commitments of the company. This is done following legally acceptable hiring practices and through identifying and utilizing technology to maximize the efficiency of the hiring process. The position requires; Interaction with the Marketing area to identify the advertising and recruiting strategies to be implemented, interaction with operational management to determine staffing needs, Defining job descriptions for employee positions, Developing processes for screening of applicants/candidates for various positions, Developing processes for implementing and completing onboarding of new employees, Developing and implementing interaction processes with Training and Safety to transfer new employees to the various training programs.
Duties and responsibilities
The Hiring Manager:
Manages Recruitment and Hiring processes for fulltime and part time employees
Coordinates job posting/applicant tracking/screening/interviewing and on board for full time office employees
Coordinates job posting/applicant tracking/screening/interviewing and on board for drivers in BBL and BCL
Coordinates job posting/applicant tracking/screening/interviewing and on board for wash crew employees, maintenance coordinators, and mechanics
Guides the department heads and provides supportive services for the transfer of employees within the organization
Leads and coordinates defining/creation of job descriptions
Interacts with operational areas in defining and documenting job descriptions
Participates in assigning compensation ranges to job descriptions
Leads and coordinates performance review process.
Interacts with the operations director to define the performance review process and identify tools.
Interacts with Training to develop and provide performance review training
Coaches on completing performance reviews.
Leads and coordinates employee engagement program
Working with Operations Director identifies Employee engagement strategies
Implements and tracks engagement activities including the Retention, Bonus and Referral programs.
Implements compliance documentation requirements for recruiting and hiring processes
Interacts with the compliance department to define efficient processes for providing compliance documentation
Manages direct reports according to Company management philosophy
Completes annual performance assessments
Meets subordinates to review annual performance assessments
Holds CDL B with P and S endorsements to provide back up driving/attending support.
