Sample Coordinator

Job Description
Scientific Protein Laboratories is a biopharmaceutical leader in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of pancreatic enzymes and heparin. We have an immediate opening for a Sample Coordinator located at our Waunakee, WI (Madison area) facility.
Under general supervision, the individual will be responsible for providing sample management support to individuals responsible for testing of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) in the Quality Control Department. The individual will perform sample log in and review, track and dispose of samples, coordinate sample send outs and general shipments, maintain R&D and reserve samples. The work is performed under the cGMP/FDA (Current Good Manufacturing Practice/Food and Drug Administration) guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Maintain organization (including proper storage and disposition) in Sample Storage locations such as the balance room, reserve storage, R&D sample cage, etc.
- Manage send out retain samples for viral and other contract lab testing.
- Maintain qualification status of Contract laboratories (including POs & results).
- Log in samples and review entries for accuracy.
- Inventory and archive raw data worksheets for the Quality Control department on a monthly basis.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent with some coursework after high school highly preferred
Up to 5 years of work experience; experience in a Quality Control environment is a real plus!
