POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an opening for a Clubhouse Coordinator in our Yahara House program! The Senior Clinical Specialist (SCSIII) ) works side by side with Clubhouse members while managing the day-to-day operations of the Café Department. The SCSIII is responsible for supervising, mentoring and supporting Clubhouse staff that work in the Café Department. The SCSIII models Clubhouse values as they apply to recovery, case management, social, employment and crisis services and functions as part of the Clubhouse supervisory team to help identify concerns, clarify strategies and implement Clubhouse-wide quality improvement and continued accreditation by Clubhouse International and Medicaid Comprehensive Community Services Program certification.

FOLLOWING IS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The SCSIII is supervised by the Clubhouse Director.
QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL
Master’s Degree in a related behavioral health field, and licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
Clinical experience in mental health and/or alcohol/drug treatment, including providing clinical supervision and/or a leadership role.
Meets relevant state licensing requirements for billable services and clinical supervision for alcohol/drug and/or psychotherapy services.
Demonstrated commitment to provide culturally sensitive services that are relevant to the diverse and unique needs/experiences/perspectives of each consumer.
Demonstrated commitment to recovery focus principles, and provision of trauma informed services.
Experience in managing mental health and related consumer crises and the ability to supervise other staff involved in crisis resolution activities.
Strong organizational and leadership skills and the ability to assist supervisees in the development of organizational skills.
Effective communication abilities (both orally and in writing) and the ability to organize, direct, and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Willingness and availability to work in a variety of settings (in home, in office, in school, in the community) and to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and some weekends.
Possession of a valid driver's license, a favorable driving record, adequate insurance (per WI law) and access to a vehicle.
PREFERRED
Experience as a supervisor in a Clubhouse setting
Licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor in Training, Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, or Substance Abuse Counselor or AODA specialty.
Bilingual in Spanish/Hmong and English
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Clinical Supervision
Provide clinical consultation, review, and oversight to clinical team members through a collaborative, recovery-oriented approach.
Review the performance and goals for all staff in his/her supervision group on an annual and as needed basis.
Coordinate and oversee a system of appropriate clinical charting procedures that ensure the program's compliance with JMHC, County and State guidelines and mandates. Review documentation for accuracy and timely completion.
Assist in facilitating the coordination of the program's clinical services with those of other programs and outside agencies, and provide problem resolution around system issues, clinical issues, cultural competence, consumer grievances and difficult cases, with the assistance and support of the Clinical Team Manager
B. Administrative Leadership
Participate in and provide leadership for staff meetings, training programs and other designated functions and assist in development of new programming.
Assist the Clinical Team Manager in recruiting, hiring, training and evaluating of new staff, students and volunteers.
Monitor and ensure staff service expectations.
Approve and monitor scheduling, time off requests, training requests and other aspects of each member of his/her team.
Participate in meetings and projects as assigned by the Clinical Team Manager.
Provides backup in the Clinical Team Manager’s absence.
Maintain professionalism and working relationships with the CCS Team and JMHC Management Team.
C. Provision of Engagement/Clinical Services
Working collaboratively with the larger Clubhouse, ensure and oversee that the Café Department has a diverse array of meaningful work, consistent with Clubhouse standards.
Coordinate and oversee Café Department activities; engage and empower members in a culturally sensitive manner in order to promote strengths, self esteem, hope, skills and sense of community by:
Promoting Clubhouse decision making with members about what tasks need to be accomplished by the department, how members want to organize tasks and ensuring there is a wide diversity of challenging and fulfilling work to meet individual members’ recovery needs, as they define it
Promoting Clubhouse processes for members by having open discussions within the departments about issues that effect them within the department, Clubhouse and community
Promoting members to take meaningful leadership roles within the department and within the Clubhouse
Promoting ongoing ways to recognize members publicly for their contributions in the departments, Clubhouse and community
Working side by side with members to perform the work of Café Department and to accomplish the goals outlined above.
Assuring that work of the department is fulfilled in an organized, efficient process, with great attention to detail and to structural processes necessary for the effective, smooth and fiscally sound operation of the department.
Maintaining responsibility for outreach to members with low attendance.
Supervising, mentoring, guiding and supporting staff that work in Café Department; modeling behaviors that promote the goals outlined above, and helping each staff member to be the best s/he can by providing culturally competent recovery focused services to each member within a Clubhouse model.
Coordinating staff schedules and job responsibilities for persons supervised; coordinating and making recommendations to Program Manager regarding recruitment, hiring, and retention of staff in Café Department and related personnel matters; co-writing and signing performance reviews for Café Department staff; helping staff to set and meet goals, including required training goals for cultural sensitivity.
Supervising, providing ongoing guidance, feedback and support to staff who work in Café Department about their written assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and clinical interventions to promote culturally competent, inclusive recovery focused documentation in a timely manner, and production that complies with licensing and billing requirements.
B. Provide Clubhouse/Recovery, Case Management, Crisis and Employment Support
Provide culturally sensitive Clubhouse-focused recovery, resource (case) management and crisis intervention for a number of members who receive services from YH.
Develop individual plans that acknowledge and incorporate the member’s declaration of her/his needs, goals, values, beliefs, world views, traditions, customs, definition of family, helping resources and spirituality.
Provide ongoing support services in a culturally competent manner to help each member to achieve her/his goals. Responsibilities include:
Individual/annual goal planning that promotes self-esteem, hope, skill building.
Engaging members in all aspects of their recovery process.
Advocating for, coordinating and assisting members in a culturally competent manner with individual needs, such as: financial/benefits counseling; social/recreational; medical; educational/employment; residential; legal; and community living skills.
Attend member staffing, as needed.
Assisting/coordinating services with community providers.
Providing crisis management by communicating & coordinating services, as needed, with crisis unit, hospital staff, and other service providers
Manage in a culturally sensitive recovery focused manner at least 1 Transitional Employment Placement (TEP) work site by:
Developing a working relationship with the work site supervisor
Participating in on the job training provided by employer
Following members progress on the job through on going contact with direct supervisors, and assist in developing training strategies/accommodations
Filling in for YH member when member is not available to work
Oversee that staff who work in Café Department also manage in a culturally competent recovery focused manner and appropriate number of TEPs.
C. Coordinate Student Interns and Holiday/Work Support Scheduling
Respond to inquiries from potential students and schools, and conduct interviews of students as needed to determine appropriate fit for YH
Work closely with YH staff to assess interest and feasibility for a student placement in department
Ensure that a YH staff person who wants to supervise a student understands JMHC policies and procedures for students, as well as expectations from YH
Continue to check in and be available for consultation on holidays and with student interns as needed
Develop holiday and work support schedules for staff teams required for each calendar year. Coordinate coverage needs as they arise
D. Administration and Leadership
Participate in YH and JMHC administrative/management meetings, as requested.
Model and promote teaming with YH colleagues throughout the Clubhouse.
Assume a leadership role that promotes JMHC’s and YH’s mission, vision and values.
Provide consultation on Clubhouse values.
Participate in 15 hours of JMHC, program and other outside trainings that focus on cultural competence/recovery.
Assume a leadership role in helping YH to be fully accredited by Clubhouse International and certified by the DCHS and DHS CCS.
Monitor production and assist with paperwork expectations.
