Position Description:

Seeking a talented Engineering Manager to join our engineering team and participate in the design and development of our proprietary clinical decision support (CDS) systems and related platform technology. The ideal candidate is passionate about building great software and driven to help deliver systems that solve real-world problems which matter in the lives of others. As part of our engineering team, you'll be working in a highly collaborative environment in an exciting and comfortable atmosphere. At NDSC, your work is critical to the success of our company, and each team member is involved in the evolution and progress of our platform from making architecture and design decisions to exploring and implementing new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple small, cross-functional development teams in an agile environment.
• Capable of mentoring engineers in Extreme Programming (XP) practices and SOLID design practices.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to effectively design, plan, and deliver software development initiatives while effectively setting and managing business expectations.
• Actively participate in overall platform and infrastructure design as well as proactive curation of software development processes and practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ or more years of managing software engineers, specifically as part of an agile development environment.
• 5 or more years working with web-based systems, including service-oriented architecture, and MVC web applications (we use ASP.NET MVC, AngularJS and Bootstrap).
• 8 or more years of experience in OO programming, C# is preferred.
• A proven track record of leading the delivery of working software while collaborating with end users.

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience in Hospital or Healthcare IT preferred.

Education / Training:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Environment - Office environment, minimal travel required.
• Physical Requirements - Sitting, standing, walking, and using key board.
