PM Technician - 1st Shift (Part-Time)

This is a 1st shift part-time position, but the hours may vary as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To support WW manufacturing by maintaining mechanical and electrical systems throughout the facility. This includes production equipment, building and grounds preventative maintenance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  • Provide and maintain general tools for PM's, specialized tools supplied by Husco
  • Utilize MS Office to effectively communicate and accurately fill out Work Order Logs
  • Ability to repair all oil leaks, water leaks, and test rack PV and SV wires
  • Operations of general power tools, multimeter, sump sucker, floor scrubber, air compressor, chiller, RO system, fluid skimmer, coalescer, B&T, hone, assembly station, mechwash and slusher, flusher, bubble tank, paint line wash system, paint line pain booth, and roof top units.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Husco facility/ preventative maintenance needs.
  • Perform PM's on all production machinery, schedules and files maintenance reports for equipment history.
  • Records parts used for equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Keeps accurate records of work performed.
  • Evaluate PM procedures for accuracy and recommend improvements
  • Cleans and performs simple repairs, and replaces parts on mechanical equipment
  • Assures cleanliness and orderliness of the building for the safety of employees and visitors.
  • Expedite required maintenance materials and track work order reporting and labor reporting.
  • Define job requirements and assume responsibility for completion.

*The PM Technician may be required to perform miscellaneous duties not described within this description.

REQUIREMENTS
Degree/Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent, 5-10 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of trade fundamentals in dealing with general repairs (electrical, mechanical, machinery, fabrication, and welding.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipment, can follow step-by-step instructions, and is able to lay out work.
  • Exhibits attention to detail, and is good at documenting work performed.
  • Ability to obtain a certified in fork training and be able to maneuver hand jack, holds a valid driver's license.
  • Effective communication skills, positive attitude, pleasant demeanor, able to interact well intra-departmentally, and are confidential.
  • Exhibits initiative and accountability as to ISO/TS standards.
  • Effective problem solving, judgment, and independent thinking skills for troubleshooting, and recognition of acceptable or unacceptable product quality.
  • Able to handle frequent interruptions or deadlines.
  • Additional background in hydraulics industry and special purpose machines beneficial.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
  • In a standard workday this person will be required to sit 10%, stand 30% or walk 20%, squat or kneel 10%, twist 10%, drive 10% and lift 10%.
  • This individual will be required to frequently lift from 1 to 35 lbs., and occasionally lift 35-75 lbs. The lifting may include: transferring, unloading and/or installing materials or parts, or carrying ladders, or hand tools. The magnitude of the lift will depend upon height requirements of the troubleshooting or repair operation. Frequent lifting will be from floor to waist level, with occasional lifting from waist level to heights of 3-5 feet or higher, which will require extreme balance and coordination.
  • Fine manipulation is needed in handling tools, measuring instruments, and equipment. Dexterity is required for the operation of buttons and triggers of tools. This Maintenance Tech will perform frequent grasping motions with their hands and pushing and pulling of arms when installing or repairing, operating tools, or hand jack equipment.
  • Visual requirements include excellent number and depth perception, competent blueprint reading abilities, eye-hand coordination, ability to read measurement devices, and directions. This person may come in contact with all types of plant hazard: mechanical, electrical, and chemical. Temperature and humidity conditions of the environment are normal, with no unusual atmospheric conditions. Utilizes proper personal protective equipment, which may include: safety glasses- face mask, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes/boots, respirator or hair protection. The type of maintenance application the Technician is using will dictate what personal protective equipment is required.
  • Total awareness of the plant environment as it pertains to safety of other employees; operation of equipment, handling of materials and visitors is required.
