POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Formulation Development Intern will work to support the daily administrative duties of the Formulation Development Department. This includes work directly with clients and CPI project teams to plan and support various pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, food, and industrial projects and will help to coordinate development, scale up, and validation processing as necessary.  Significant organizational skills are required to track the needs of the department itself and client projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Plan and coordinate development, scale up, and validation activities in support of Formulation Scientists and associated project teams.
  • Support project teams through scheduling of meetings, issuing meeting agendas and minutes, coordinating raw material and product shipments, and assisting with the billing process.
  • Track pre-project and post-project critical activities such as coordination of equipment and personnel needs, reporting of critical FDA, DEA, and DNR regulatory data, inventory of materials and product, and electronic and physical document organization.
  • Assists with inter-departmental communication and coordination to ensure success of client projects.
  • Other administrative duties as needed.
  • Follows all CPI safety practices, policies, and procedures.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two semesters of post-high school education in a business or science field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management skills to complete tasks in a timely manner without supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with team members, co-workers, and clients.
