JOB DESCRIPTION

Operate production switcher, DVE and other sources during weekend morning live newscasts in a Dir/TD setting and alone. Work closely with newscast producers to insure a clean on-air newscast. Work with the floor crew to assure shots adhere to guidelines. Operate production switcher, DVE and other sources during other newscasts and projects for the News, Promotions or Sales departments. Depending on shift, may shoot video, create graphics, edit video for newscasts from various sources, write and produce segments. Degree in Radio/TV/Film or Communications preferred, with a concentration in television production. 2 years directing experience in a live newscast environment. Experience with automated news production systems a plus. Good working knowledge of all production systems, including robotics, audio and graphic systems. Overall knowledge of television production. Ability to shoot and edit video. Ability to write and produce segments. Creative, energetic self-starter. Strong leadership and people skills. Team player. Must be able to work various hours and shifts, including weekends. Must be able to be on-call on a rotating schedule. Provide a demo reel link of work in resume/cover letter.
