Lunchables Placer (Entry Level Production Line Worker)

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Lunchables Placer to work at our processing facility in Avon, NY. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated and be willing to work in a team orientated, fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Currently hiring for second shift positions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Quality testing and record keeping duties of this position make it necessary for the operator to read, write and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Candidates must be available to work all shifts including second, third & weekends, holidays and overtime (over 8 hours daily and over 40 hours within a week).
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred

Benefits & Compensation Overview:

• *Up to $1000.00 Signing Bonus!
• $15.80/hour, plus:
  • A $.30 shift differential for those who working on second.
  • A $.40 shift differential for those who working on third shift.
  • Daily Overtime for work performed in excess of 8 hours
  • Daily Double Time for work performed in excess of 12 hours

• Ammonia systems size is approximately 95,000 lbs.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• A Production Worker in the Lunchables Department will be responsible for the total assembly of the Lunchables products. This involves providing supplies, placing of package components into specified tray compartments, finished package inspection, grading for quality defects, placing finished packages into a carton, and palletizing the cartons. All duties performed within specific Quality/GMP procedures.
• Also responsible for keeping a clean workstation, which includes removing re-work and trash from the area. Responsible for inspecting packages exiting from the Mahaffey-Harder tray sealer and Mondini Sealer for all packaging and observable supply defects. Identify and grade any rejects resulting from the Klockner cartoner, including code date problems.
• Employees must maintain work area in compliance with plant rules and practices of safety, personal conduct, sanitation, housekeeping and quality. All Production Workers may also perform additional duties as directed by the Supervisor.
• Employee's include but are not limited to:
  • Employee must have the ability to do all line positions after training is complete
  • Ability to read a line schedule after training is complete
  • Employee must be able to stand for the duration of the shift - 8 to 12 hours a day
  • Employee must have hand eye coordination
  • Basic understanding of OEE and its uses.
