Job Description
Summary:
As aSeniorSoftware Engineer, you willparticipate inrequirements, design, development, and testing of software systems and their integration with other software and hardware subsystems of one of the most advanced medical devices in the market today. Our work makes a daily impact on the lives of many patients around the world. Our team makes sure that our products are well made and of high quality
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Directly impact the developmentand architectureof thesoftwarethat creates patient treatmentplans
Drive critical design and implementation decisions that affect how a complex multi-million dollarmachine delivers radiation therapy to improve the lives of cancer patients
Work closely with other team members to implement quality applications that meet or exceed our rigorous tests
Participate in decisions affecting high-performance computing hardware, operating systems, languages, and libraries
Cross-pollinate the team with theory and practice of software development, object-oriented design, and computer languages
Present concise designs through written and oral reviews
Some travel (<10%) may be required
Analyze product marketing requirements.
Support application localization.
Report, fix and test defects.
Write requirements specifications, design documents and other technical documents.
Review User Manuals.
Provide planning and status information and perform to plan.
Qualifications:
Required
BS Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
15 years of experience doing product quality software development
Expertisein C++
Experience in developing desktop applications
Experience with automated unit testing frameworks
Experience with object-oriented analysis and design, and proper use of design patterns and anti-patterns
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work in a team environment
Preferred
Experience in developing web-based applications
Strong mathematics and/or physics background is a plus
Experience with Medical Device or Regulated environment preferred
