Job Description
  • Support LEAN initiatives across Eurofins with knowledge and resources to develop technology and automation engineered solutions
  • Support business line leaders in finding processes suitable for improvement through technology and automation
  • Plan, lead and implement projects
  • Responsible for delivery, time plan and costs of projects
  • Share knowledge and best practices between business units
  • Support in developing standards for project development and execution
  • Establish relationships with outside firms to execute and deliver technology and automation solutions
  • Collaborates with operations leadership to understand and improve technical & operational capabilities
  • Supports lab based teams by providing guidance on program and project needs
  • Accountable for working with Business Unit Manager, and LEAN Project managers to develop and implement technology solutions within the lab environment that drives productivity, efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal teams to identify problems and solutions where "engineered" solutions would be beneficial.
  • Identify and work with a variety of external vendors to turn ideas into actual solutions to the problems.
  • Project manage the development, implementation and acceptance of identified technology solutions.
  • Monitor progress and effectiveness of overall solutions and adapt as necessary to achieve results.
  • Lead change management efforts with BUM's and LEAN Project Managers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8-10 Manufacturing Engineering Experience
  • A Master in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • LEAN or Six Sigma Certification
    • Documented good knowledge in Manufacturing Engineering, Automation and LEAN
    • Experience of working with project management and improvement work in a manufacturing environment
    • Proven organization, observation, and problem solving skills
    • Ability to calculate financial benefit of projects.
    • Experience of purchasing or selling industrial equipment and are comfortable in discussions with suppliers
    • Demonstrated computer skills - requires excellent MS Office experience (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize
    • Demonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
    • Proven ability to work independently
    • Ability to work to deadlines
    • Strong analytical skills
