Overview

As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator at TDS Telecom, you will be responsible for assisting our Talent Acquisition team in all aspects of the hiring process, pre-employment background check and drug screening processes, and contractor/temporary process. You will also responsible for providing support to other areas of the organization as it relates to hiring, contractor/temporaries and separation practices.

Our ideal candidate will be able to commute to our Madison, WI office at least once a month.

Responsibilities

Assist Talent Acquisition team, which includes but is not limited to:

    Send out HR notifications for new hires and position changes
  • Send offer letters via DocuSign to new hires and internal transfers
  • Schedule phone screens, interviews and/or travel arrangements as needed
  • Manage the company's I-9 process, including serving as the liaison with the vendor and ensuring compliance
  • Monitor the HR Recruiting and the Onboarding mailboxes
  • Report from the ATS (New Hire Report, Weekly Report, Openings by Week etc)
  • Post jobs to external sites
  • Conduct phone screens as needed

Manage pre-employment drug testing and background check process to include:

  • Ensuring compliance and successful completion of the pre-employment screening for all hired job candidates
  • Conduct interviews with candidates in pre-employment screening process for areas under inquiry, including maintaining appropriate documentation of the conversations
  • Making recommendations on hires to clear/rescind offers
  • Uploading documentation into database

Manage the contractor/temporary start & separation process, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Work with BU & legal on contracts
  • Set up agencies in SAP
  • Set up new contractors/temporaries in SAP
  • Train acquisitions in our contractor/temporary management process
  • Terminate contractors
  • Send out HR Notifications for new contractors/temporaries & separation notifications
  • Ensure proper SO, SOW and/or CAFs are completed
  • Collect acknowledgements
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in Human Resources.
  • 2+ years' general support and/or customer service experience.

Other Qualifications

  • Knowledge of up-to-date Human Resource policies, standard practices; laws, regulations and proposed changes
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Possess excellent computer skills including use of the Internet, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • Proven organizational skills, project and time management, as well as follow through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
