Job Description

Growth is a critical component of our business plan, and we are currently looking for a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to help us in that growth.

This is a 2nd Shift position working 4 days a week with 10 hours shift, and a $3,000 Sign on Bonus

Mechanic Job Duties

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks
  • Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
  • Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion
  • Meet requirements for certifications

Position Requirements for Mechanics

  • Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
  • Technical degree or Allison Transmission certification a plus
  • Preferred 5 years' experience working with Allison transmissions
  • Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
  • Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
  • Experience with other engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
  • Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions and drive train, automatic transmissions.

Mechanic Desired Skills/Qualities

  • Allison Transmission knowledge preferred
  • Cummins engine knowledge preferred
  • Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
  • The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
