Summary of This Role

Provides support to the sales team by providing in-depth technical & business knowledge of payment acceptance processes and associated services (including fraud and payment security), 90% of time interacting and providing consultative services to new and potential clients with respect to implementing and configuring the Global Payments products & services for effective and efficient transaction services.

What Part Will You Play?
  • Assist with technical pre-sales support by accompanying sales team to meetings with prospects. Assist with development and participation in giving presentations to prospective and existing National/Enterprise clients, providing product demonstrations, and using whiteboard sessions, all with a focus on maintaining a sales-oriented approach to the client's requirements through discovery phase exercises. 50% time spent with prospective client.

  • Basic understanding of payment processing acting as subject matter expert with prospective customers. Maintain accurate & current product & services knowledge working collaboratively with product teams.

  • Understand the development of small internal computer applications to provide proof-of-concept ideas, to test Global Payments products, and to troubleshoot client issues by providing assistance Global Payments prospects, existing clients and the sales team during presales phases. Produce clear and precise documentation for clients based on business and functional requirements for success deployment of the Global Payments products & service. Provide proposal support to the sales team, via completing the business, technical and functional sections of RFI and RFP documents.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience

  • Typically Minimum 3 Years relevant exp.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Science, Engineering or Computing

  • Experience of working in the payments industry, preferably ecommerce, mobile, payment security & risk management.

  • Computer programing

  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office

Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Builds on/Maintains external relationships of assigned accounts.

  • Supervision - Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).

  • Programming - Basic knowledge in a mainstream language such as Java, .Net, ASP or PHP & basic scripting knowledge of using HTML & JavaScript.

  • Communication of Technical Concepts - Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences, in a sales-oriented manner.
