We Are Hiring: Registered Nurse (RN) - Waukesha Memorial Hospital Operating Room - .6 FTE (PMs) 

 

Schedule: Scheduled shift will be until 2130 8/10/12 hour shifts will be considered Call rotation: 1 overnight call shift per week 1 weekend call shift every 6-8 weeks 1-2 holidays/year

 

In a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology,  to Plastics surgery. Waukesha Memorial Hospitals Operating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including  da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin.  The OR suite also includes a newly built Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic room.

 

What You Will Do:

 

The Clinical Nurse is a competent practitioner who integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families.  Care is delivered using a deliberate, systematic approach, and practice is guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations.  These nurses demonstrate mastery of most technical skills and begin to view clinical situations from a patient and family focus as they provide professional nursing care within clinical areas/ campuses as required by staffing matrices.  These nurses also supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised. 

 

What You Will Need:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
  • Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support ( BLS) certification.
