Children’s Wisconsin Hospital in Milwaukee: Established in 1894, Children’s Wisconsin is one of the leading centers for pediatric medicine in the United States. Private, independent and not-for-profit, Children’s Hospital provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services needed to diagnose and treat the illnesses, injuries and birth defects that affect children. Children’s Hospital was rated the No. three pediatric hospital in the nation by Child magazine and has achieved Magnet status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Also named one of the best places to work in Southeastern Wisconsin by Milwaukee Magazine, the hospital is a premier and standard-setting leader in pediatric clinical care, education and research, Children’s Hospital advocates for the rights of children. Children’s Wisconsin Hospital in Fox Valley: Children’s Winsconsin Hospital in Fox Valley, located in Neenah, opened in 2001. It has a 20-bed pediatric unit and a 22-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It also offers specialty outpatient clinics in Neenah through Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Clinics-Fox Valley and provides child protection services through the Child Advocacy Center. The hospital was named a recipient of a 2004 Wisconsin Forward Award, the state’s highest award for organizational excellence.

Children’s Wisconsin Foundation Children’s Wisconsin Foundation secures philanthropic support for the health system. Gifts to the foundation support system-wide patient care programs, professional and community education, advocacy for the health and safety of children, and pediatric research.

Children’s Health Education Center Children go to Children’s Health Education Center to learn how to stay healthy. The center offers resources and programs for children, parents, and caregivers to help keep kids of all ages healthy and safe. Programs combine multimedia technology, larger-than-life models and lots of hands-on learning for a dynamic group-based educational experience. The center’s aim is to motivate children and adults who care for them to make a lifetime of healthy choices.

Children’s Medical Group In order to better ensure the accessibility and delivery of quality primary health care to children, Children’s Medical Group has built a network of pediatricians throughout southeastern Wisconsin. In addition, Children’s Medical Group oversees school-based and other health centers located in central city Milwaukee, where Children’s Hospital and Health System physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses provide care for children in clinics and schools.

Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin is the state’s largest, private, not-for-profit provider of child welfare services. From 35 locations throughout the state, Children’s Service Society offers more than 70 activities and programs in three core service areas: out-of-home care; counseling and case management; and prevention services.

Children’s Specialty Group Children’s Specialty Group is a physician group practice jointly owned by Children’s Hospital and Health System and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Children’s Specialty Group includes Medical College physicians who provide care at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to infants, children, and adolescents in more than 30 medical and surgical specialty areas. The group practice provides a critical link between the clinical expertise of Children’s Wisconsin and the commitment to excellence in medical education and research of the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Surgicenter of Greater Milwaukee Surgicenter of Greater Milwaukee is a free-standing outpatient surgery center that provides the latest surgical technology and treatment for children and adults in a comfortable surrounding. Since 1991, Surgicenter has set the standard in outpatient surgical care with an emphasis on safety, convenience, and concern for individual needs. The same pediatric anesthesiologists who practice at Children’s Wisconsin are available to assist with pediatric surgeries at Surgicenter.

Children’s Research Institute Children’s Research Institute advances state-of-the-art pediatric health care practice through dedicated laboratory and clinical research. The institute focuses solely on initiatives that promise to provide new answers and improved solutions to children’s unmet health care needs.

National Outcomes Center The National Outcomes Center is responsible for developing strategies to measure outcomes – the systematic approach of collecting, analyzing and interpreting data to optimize patient care and enhance organizational strategies. The systems developed for Children’s Hospital are available to other organizations across the country.
