Company Overview
Goodwill Industries International is a network of 207 community-based, autonomous member organizations that serves people with workplace disadvantages and disabilities by providing job training and employment services, as well as job placement opportunities and post-employment support. With locations in the United States, Canada and 23 other countries, we help people overcome barriers to employment and become independent, tax-paying members of their communities. To fund our mission, we collect donated clothing and household goods to sell in our 1,900 retail stores and provide contract labor services to business and government. We also receive funding from donations and corporate, foundation and government grants. Nearly 85 percent of our revenues are channeled into job training and placement programs and other critical community services.

Our Mission

Our mission is to strengthen our community by providing supportive housing, employment services, and other assistance to local residents with disabilities or other challenges. We make the dream of self-sufficiency possible for hundreds of individuals with disabilities. We help victims of natural disasters and other emergencies. We help those who want to gain valuable work skills. It's about paychecks and pride, shelter along with hope. It's about meeting basic immediate needs. It's about starting a path toward a brighter future.

Goodwill Industries fully supports the concept of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action and will continue to do so. It is our policy to effect all personnel transactions, including, but not limited to recruitment and employment, promotion, demotion, transfer, compensation, and selection for training without discrimination and to ensure equal treatment of employees regardless of sex, race, religion, color, national origin or ancestry, age, disability, marital status, source of income, arrest record or conviction record, less than honorable discharge, veteran status, physical appearance, sexual orientation, unemployment, political beliefs or the fact that such a person is a student as defined in the City of Madison Equal Opportunity Ordinance.
