As the demand for strategic healthcare IT consulting services developed, Cumberland soon began focusing exclusively on the healthcare industry. The firm grew steadily and started receiving accolades from top industry publications and associations both for the quality of its client work and for creating a great place to work. In 2013, Cumberland acquired Mindlance Life Sciences, diversifying its client base to include pharmaceutical manufacturers. Two years later, Cumberland acquired Oleen Pinnacle Healthcare Consulting, increasing its presence in the payer market. In addition to diversifying its client base, the firm expanded its services to include specialized consulting resources through the acquisition of Cipe Consulting in 2014 and most recently, expanded its managed services capabilities for providers through the acquisition of LinkEHR in 2018.
