A message from Lee Duerst, owner of Insulation Technicians:

I have been in the building and insulation business since 1982, beginning with CAP Services to supervise their furnace Retro-fit program, then as a field coordinator position.  In 1985, I was named Director, Weatherization Program, a Dept of Energy (DOE) federal program.   In this position, I was involved in third party testing and participated in several DOE energy studies.

Over the years, I worked with numerous agencies and services in many Wisconsin counties involved with weatherization and housing, including Project Home and HUD.

In 2001, I officially opened my business as Duerst Energy Consulting and Insulation.  In 2006, I purchased Insulation Technicians in Oshkosh and expanded our service area.  For the last four years, we have averaged over 600 jobs per year, have sprayed enough foam to cover a football field nearly 10 feet deep, and have installed over 250,000 bags of cellulose.

I know that without the customer that I would not be in business, and without a keen commitment to quality - in the work we do and the products we use, I would not stay in business.  One of our clients noted to us that we "delivered exactly what they promised and that is pretty rate today."

I take considerable pride in keeping us on the cutting edge of the industry, so that we can better serve our clients.  Whether remodeling an existing home, adding on to a business, or building a new home or facility, our clients are seeking to improve overall heating and cooling efficiencies. Using state-of-the-art equipment and materials, we employ "green" technologies, with a continual eye toward reducing environmental impact and saving money for those we serve.
