Our company’s touchstone: Delivering quality healthcare services in a compassionate environment for the elders living in our communities today and every day. As a family-oriented and family-owned business, this is our passion, and our company’s reason for existing.
Skilled nursing and long-term care, rehabilitation services, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, behavioral care and respite care are the critical services we provide at our 14 long-term care communities and eight Veterans Homes.
By incorporating innovative building designs and technology into our daily operations, Touchstone Communities is leading the way in creating healthful, thriving communities where elders feel comfortably at home and always secure.
Using the Neighborhood Model, Touchstone Communities has developed a new community concept called The Heights®. Located in San Antonio, Pleasanton, Tyler, Tomball, North Houston and Gonzales, The Heights® offers elders a fulfilling quality of life by supporting their autonomy, dignity and choice in an inviting, intimate atmosphere. Spacious family rooms, round-the-clock access to food, daily activities and attentive care are some of the many amenities provided at The Heights® that protect the dignity of elders and enhance their quality of life.
Touchstone also manages the nation’s first community based on the Small House Model, for veterans. At Watkins-Logan Texas State Veterans Home, our veterans live in a residential-style home in a community of 10 cottages. Each floorplan features 10 private rooms and bathrooms as well as its own common kitchen and living areas. This community design gives our veterans increased social interaction while maintaining their privacy and independence.
In addition to ease of living and comfortable floorplans, our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system enables our team members to access health information instantly, allowing us to focus more quality time on caring for residents.
