Job Description
Scientific Protein Laboratories is a biopharmaceutical leader in the development and manufacturing of heparin, pancreatin, heparin derivatives, naturally derived pharmaceuticals, and recombinant proteins from microbial fermentation. We have an immediate opening in Waunakee, WI (Madison area) for a QC Supervisor of Lab Services.
 
The QC Supervisor of Lab Services is responsible for responsible for overseeing technical projects with the QC Lab and reports directly to the Manager of QC.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage technical projects within QC and for other departments as needed.
  • Provide guidance to analysts running technical projects.
  • Write and/or review studies, protocols and method validations
  • Provide guidance and support to the QC lab on new laboratory methodologies.
  • Provide guidance and support to the QC lab on use of troubleshooting of existing instrumentation-based and chemical analyses.
  • Perform off-site audits of contract laboratories.
  • Function as a liaison between QC and other departments.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry or related field
  • Must have 10 or more years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical lab work
  • The candidate must have strong analytical skills, a dedication to developing and retaining talent, and a commitment to innovation. Demonstrated knowledge of planning and organizing work is a must.
