The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Software Project Manager to join the Singlewire team. As part of our team, you will be an effective leader in the overall end-to-end software development and delivery of products. The Software Project Manager will handle process compliance, drive execution of software development, and drive software process improvements. This position is located in our home office in Madison, WI.
 
If you’re a master at consistently leading medium to large organizational wide programs and projects and process improvements, you will love the challenge of this role. Job requirements include:
  • Navigate and execute complex projects on time with minimal input
  • Lead compliance of development and QA processes
  • Craft common strategies and efficiencies and persuade multiple business units of the advantages
  • Manage project budget and schedule
  • Develop and run program schedules, breakthroughs and work you’re doing
  • Correctly represent the urgency of issues and bring up issues appropriately
  • Work with customer engagement and technical business units to translate customer requirements into specific tasks for all functional areas and actively bring together, track and rive all issues to closure.
  • Drive the day-to-day operational aspects of delivering software releases to customers
  • Assist in improving process and procedures within the team
  • Work loosely with software engineering teams, product management and customer engagement teams to resolve technical and logistical issues
  • Regularly communicate the program status and key issues to management
 
You May Be Right for Us If You Have:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 5 plus years recent Project Management experience driving the planning and execution of software engineering, releasing commercial products
  • 3 plus years previous experience as a software developer or software QA Engineer
  • You have lived the life of a software developer or software QA engineer, and understand the pressure they are under, allowing you to more effectively lead them in projects as well as process
  • Validated history of Project/ Program Management of software products
  • Experience with both in-house and outsourced projects
  • Experience evaluating and driving adoption of new process workflows in medium to large organizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and in-person and virtual presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate effectively across functions as part of a team in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong verbal communications and business acumen skills
  • Dedication to detail, organization, and productive time management
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
