Electrical Engineer

With a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a desire work in a technologically advanced manufacturing environment under the direction of an experienced electrical engineer.


The focus of this position is to provide electrical engineering leadership to a skilled group of engineers and technicians in the implementation of projects for API pharmaceutical systems, processes, and facility enhancements. The roll of the electrical engineer is to assist in troubleshooting complex networked manufacturing control systems, plant security systems, control wiring, HVAC control, etc. The Electrical Engineer must communicate effectively and work closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering and R&D personnel and foster a team environment, both within the department and externally.

This position participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. The Electrical Engineer will participate in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and PLC software solutions. Additionally, this position develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations to include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.
 
Experience in ANY of the following is preferred, but not required:
 

  • PLC programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, RSLogix500)
  • HMI design and development experience, including PLC communications, tag configuration, logical screen development, historization, and alarming (Rockwell RSView, FactoryTalk Historian, FactoryTalk View, PlantPAx)
  • Networking experience, including DeviceNet and Ethernet/IP (Allen Bradley, Cisco)
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. FDA)
