Scientific Protein Laboratories is a biopharmaceutical leader in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of pancreatic enzymes and heparin. We have an immediate opening for Operations Assistant.
The primary responsibility for the Operations Assistant will be to follow standard purchasing procedures for accurately verifying and processing requisitions, creating and managing purchase orders, and recording information across multiple applications. The position requires adeptly communicating via email, phone or within a group setting. Must be able to work cross-functionally with SPL, Mobren and Satellite Operation departments to support ordering of raw materials, communication of issues, various receiving functions, documentation support including MI review, and elsewhere assistance may be needed. The Operations Assistant must have strong priority flexibility and maintain confidential and critical information across departments, customers, and suppliers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Verifies specifications of purchase requisitions
Create and manage purchase orders – 4th Shift, Quick Books or current application
Strong Communication Skills - Communicates with vendors via phone/email/fax and confirms pricing and delivery dates
Adheres to established work schedule in a consistently reliable manner, and performs job responsibilities and delivers work products on a dependable and timely basis
Assist in the monitoring and support of raw material/ chemical supply
Builds rapport and demonstrates teamwork mentality with Operations department
Accurately enter and calculate information when reviewing records, maintaining documents, and other Operations administration
Types memorandums, reports, and general correspondence from rough draft to final copy
Daily contact with various SPL, Satellite and Mobren departments.
Responsible for organizing data and preparing appropriate documentation, including presentation materials utilizing software such as Excel, Word, MS Project, and Power Point for special projects assigned by reporting supervisor/manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
Applicable Bachelor’s degree preferred
Position requires between 2 and 5 years of experience
