POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Production Planning & Control Coordinator is responsible for managing the manufacturing job schedule for labor and resource planning.  This includes manufacturing jobs for standard products as well as assisting Formulations in scheduling resources for Scale-up and Validation activities.  The Production Planning & Control Coordinator helps develop tools for labor reporting and cost allocation for the scheduled jobs.  Additional responsibilities include communication between Material Resources, Inventory Control and Operations to ensure the schedule is up to date and accurate.  Typical tasks include the use of the ERP software, schedule maintenance, strong attention to detail and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Following initial training, the Production Planning & Control Coordinator is expected to independently perform all routine assignments while following established practices, policies and procedures per assigned work schedule. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:                       
  • Manufacturing Scheduling
  • Schedule and adjust as necessary manufacturing jobs based on staff, equipment and material availability
  • Request production documents from Quality
  • Manage Weekly Unit Scheduling Priority Sheet
  • Summarize and communicate Production Activities
  • Coordinate with Engineering for maintenance activities
  • Miscellaneous ERP tasks (i.e. manage Method of Manufacture for manufactured parts, job management, issue material requests).        
  • Document and label issuance and batch release (including release of documents and quality investigations) for industrial products.
  • Follows all CPI safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  • Associates degree or equivalent required.  Experience may be substituted.
  • Thorough understanding of material flows in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • Strong computer skills with reference to ERP and the Office Suite
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read, write (legibly), and speak the English language necessary for efficient job performance.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, co-workers, and/or clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.
